Greg Sandor and I discussed the need to keep the website up to keep the world and the team up to date on things in one central location...this website. I completely agreed and am implementing that suggestion. Additionally we agreed that I should put links to some of the sites we use to hold our files, just in case anyone forgets or misplaces it. I will not give our account access information, but just the link to help people get where they need to be. Greg is currently working space battle animations, the shuttle flyover of Korriban, the opening scene redo of the film and the Jedi Academy blimp style flyover. He's a busy guy, but coming along GREAT! He hopes to have rough battle animations by next week. A special thanks to Greg for converting all of the high poly count space ship models into low poly count models. It wasn't easy, but this will definitely help with rendering time for the space battle with many distance ships in the backgrounds.
George Muhs is helping several staff members with keying footage. He's also modeling the Nightwing Fighter and Nightwing Cruiser. Right now he's focusing on refining the connecting structure of the Nightwing Fighter so that it's more smooth.
Brandon Fenty reworked his Alzoc III planet matte painting. He's now going to render several sun angle renditions of the planet that we can use during various cuts of orbital movement. Brandon is also working the keying of the Jedi Academy Briefing Room scene. Every day he does it reveals a trick or two to help with the nightmare of keying this footage. I will be emailing the team privately what he's figured out so you can test it and see if it works for you.
We have a new team member. Marco Bernier will be working the Alzoc III Monitoring Station and its associated hallways. Welcome aboard Marco and we all look forward to seeing your work.
